Barcelona are reportedly keen on signing Newcastle striker Alexander Isak according to Fichajes who claimed Xavi Hernandez is a big fan of the forward and he has been targeted as the club look to bolster their forward options despite their financial woes.
The Sweden international is also been touted as the Spanish giant long-term replacement of Robert Lewandowski who is now 35 years old but signing Isak will be no easy task with the striker having signed for a club-record £63m last summer with Newcastle United.
Newcastle will be looking to get the same fee they paid if they are to part ways with him and that will be tough for the Laliga defending champions who are still in financial trouble.
Barcelona fans have lauded Ferran Torres after he scored Barcelona’s third goal against Real Betis from a set-piece in the 62nd minute of the game on Saturday night, their first in two years since Lionel Messi’s exit before being substituted in a flurry of changes made by Xavi Hernández with Europe on the horizon yesterday.
