A new record was set for women’s football fans’ attendance in Germany over the weekend.
A total number of 23,200 fans attended Saturday’s Frauen-Bundesliga opener between Eintracht Frankfurt Frauen and FC Bayern Frauen in Frankfurt setting a new DieLiga record.
Unfortunately, the hugely attended game ended in a 0-0 draw as the former league Champions, Bayern Munich were forced to a barren draw in the league opener.
Bayern Munich were the fan favourite to win the league opener with the odds of 1.30 to win the game against Eintracht Frankfurt’s whooping 7.30 odds.
Last season third-placed side (Eintracht Frankfurt) held on for a famous draw after crashing out of the 2022/2023 UEFA Women’s Champions League Qualifiers.
