Al Nassr summer signing Marcelo Brozovic has been nominated by FIFA for the men’s player of the year award.
The Croatian starred for Inter and the Croatian national team last term and has been recognized for his outstanding performances.
The 30 year old won the Coppa Italia and the SuperCoppa Italiana with the Nerazzurri as well as finishing second with Croatia in the Nations League. He was also an important part of the Croatian team that finished third at the 2022 World Cup.
Brozovic is regarded as one of the most efficient midfield players in the world and has already shown his mettle at the Riyadh based club, helping them to the Arab Club Champions Club trophy.
He has been nominated alongside eleven other players in the men’s category.

Another player presently plying his trade in the Roshn Super League Yassine Bounou also made it to one of the categories.
The Moroccan shot stopper left the Spanish La Liga where he was playing with Sevilla to join Al Hilal.

The Jeddah based club made significant signings after regaining promotion from the first division and the 32 year old has been in superb form since his move.
Bounou had an incredible 2022/2023 season where he helped Sevilla to Europa League triumph while also helping the Atlas Lions of Morocco to a fourth place finish in Qatar.
His penalty saving heroics have been his biggest weapon and he will hope that his exploits propel him to victory in the votings.
