Written By Onyeka Daniel
With each passing day, it’s proving to be difficult for English Premier League side, Tottenham Hotspur to find the perfect manager to take charge of the team ahead of the 2023/24 season after a rather disappointing season that saw them go through three different managers in one season.

Following the sacking of Antonio Conte, his assistant, Cristian Stellini was put in charge before he was also relieved after a couple of bad results before Ryan Mason finally took over.
With just one game to go until the end of the season, the search for a permanent coach has been on with several names being linked to the club, from Julian Nagelsmann to Arne Slot of Feyenoord to Xabi Alonso, who preferred to stay with Bayer Leverkusen.

According to Sky Sport Italia, Fiorentina boss Vincenzo Italiano is among the candidates for the Tottenham job and this was revealed by Italian transfer expert, Gianluca Di Marzio. According to Di Marzio, Italiano is now a top candidate if they fail to convince Nagelsmann.
He has really been impressive with the Italian side as they’re on the verge of lifting their first trophy in 20yrs. He led Fiorentina to two finals this season, in Coppa Italia and Conference League and having missed the Coppa Italia final to Inter Milan, he will be facing EPL side, West Ham in the other final.
‘It’s inevitable to see Italiano targeted by top clubs such as Napoli. It wouldn’t be surprising if Aurelio De Laurentiis gambles on him,’ Di Marzio said on his show with Sky Sports Italia ‘I know Italiano also has admirers abroad. He is on Tottenham’s agenda, who still haven’t finalised a deal with Slot. Many say that Italiano has a €10m clause, but there are no clauses in his contract with Fiorentina.’
Fiorentina hired Italiano in 2021 and the 45-year-old is under contract with the Tuscans until June 2024. The former Spezia manager has won 50 of his 101 games in charge of Fiorentina so far.
He is known for his attacking style of play that has made the club one of the top scoring sides in the Italian Serie A this season, which would be very much welcomed in the EPL. He also works with the players available to him, a trait that could endear him to Spurs’ chairman, Daniel Levy.

Spanish LaLiga side, Villarreal are bracing themselves up to lose their forward, Nicolas Jackson in the summer as interest from the EPL continues to grow. In January, a deal was in place with Bournemouth for a fee of about €23 million but the EPL side decided to not pursue the deal after a failed medical and the striker ended up staying with the yellow submarines.
Currently, the Senegalese has eight goals and two assists in his last seven matches, including a brace in the victory over Cadiz on Wednesday and Bournemouth have now rekindled their interest alongside other clubs from within and outside England.

Coach of the team, Quique Setien is fearful of losing this summer. “We already knew the potential. He had been injured for two-and-a-half months and he could not prove himself, but he is a footballer who now has eight goals in seven games, including two assists.”
“The reality is that he is going to finish the season in a spectacular way, and the sadness for us is that the most likely thing is that someone will come and take him away, paying double what they paid then.” He said. They’re set to demand double of the amount that Bournemouth were ready to pay for the forward in the winter.
