More Details

Eddie Howe’s Newcastle United and Antonio Conte’s Tottenham Hotspur have directly told the agent of the Portuguese midfielder, Jorge Mendes about a move in the summer.

The report has claimed that Newcastle, Tottenham, Barcelona and Atletico Madrid all want to sign Neves from Wolves in the summer of 2023. Wolves have offered the midfielder a new contract, but it is likely that he will move on from the Premier League club at the end of the season.

With his contract set to expire in 2024, this coming summer transfer window is the last chance for Wolves to get any sort of fee for the player.

Barcelona had been targeting the player as the heir apparent to ageing club captain, Sergio Busquets, but owing to their financial constraints, the club may be forced to move on from him or probably ask the player to run down his contract at the EPL side before joining as a free agent in 2024.

For Tottenham, signing Neves could be the magic signing that they need to elevate their squad and start challenging for titles while Newcastle are just starting their journey towards becoming a top team and with help from their rich owners, they’ve the financial capability to carry out a deal for Neves and his potential partnership with Bruno Guimaraes could be the start of a greater things to come at the St James Park.

Manchester City and Chelsea are ready to go head to head for the signing of Croatian defender, Josko Gvardiol with the Cityzens ready to sacrifice their Spanish defender, Aymeric Laporte.
