Thaisa Moreno: Brazilian Midfielder Joins AS Roma

Italian Serie A side, AS Roma, has announced the signing of Thaisa Moreno who joined the Club from Spanish Primera Division Women’s league side, Real Madrid.
The 32-year-old player has signed a contract that binds her to the Club until 30 June 2022.
The Brazilian international has played the last two seasons at Real Madrid, while previously she wore the shirts of Milan and the Americans of Sky Blue FC (later renamed Gotham FC).
“I chose to play for Roma because I think I am in a club with a great project,” said the new Giallorossi player on AS Roma website.
“Last season, Roma won the Italian Cup after a growth path that began only a few years ago, I’m here to help the team improve even more”.
With the Brazilian national team, Thaisa has made 86 appearances so far.
“Thaisa needs no introduction, her career speaks for her,” commented Head of Women ‘s Football, Betty Bavagnoli. “We have been following her with a great interest for a long time and I am very happy that she has become one of our players. We know what you can give to this team: in addition to experience, also the character and a great contribution from the point of view of mentality “.

The midfielder will wear the number 17 shirt.
Thaisa de Moraes Rosa Moreno played for Feather River Golden Eagles and FIU Panthers at the College level before joining Foz Cataratas in 2011.
From Cataratas, Thaisa de Moraes Rosa Moreno played for the likes of Ferroviaria, Centro Olimpico, Tyresö FF, America Minero, Sao Jose EC, Grindavik, Sky Blue FC, AC Milan, CD Tacon, and Real Madrid before her latest switch to AS Roma.
She won the 2015 Pan American Games with the Brazilian women’s national football team in Toronto.
