Tabitha Chawinga Completes Loan Deal With PSG As Tabea Sellner Prepares To Become A Mother

French side, Paris Saint-Germain (PSG) has announced the arrival of Tabitha Chawinga for one season.

The Malawi international is on loan to the Parisian club from Wuhan Jianghan University until June 30, 2024.
Tabitha Chawinga started playing football at the age of five, with DD Sunshine, a club in her hometown of Lilongwe (Malawi).
In 2014, the neo-Parisian joined Sweden to play for a year under the colors of Krokom Dvärsätts IF (Third division) then with Kvarnsvedens IK (2nd division).
During the 2015/2016 season, she finished top scorer in the championship with 43 goals, allowing the Scandinavian club to reach the first national division.
The striker signed in 2018 for Jiangsu LFC, in China, where she received the trophy for Best Player of the Season two years in a row (2018, 2019).
In 2021, she signed with Wuhan Jianghan University before being loaned to Inter Milan, in Italy. Last season, the Malawian was crowned top scorer in Women’s Serie A with 23 goals).

Tabea Sellner will no longer be on the pitch for VfL Wolfsburg for a happy reason: the German international will be a mother next year.

Sellner, whose contract with the Green-Whites runs until 2025, informed her teammates at VfL about this this week.
“We are very happy for Tabea and her husband and wish them all the best for the new, exciting phase of their lives. VfL Wolfsburg aims to create the best possible conditions for Tabea to return to the pitch after giving birth,” says Ralf Kellermann, director of women’s football at VfL Wolfsburg.
Sellner moved from TSG 1899 Hoffenheim to the Wolves for the 2021/2022 season. So far she has played in 65 competitive games for the Green-Whites, in which she scored a total of 31 goals.
