The USWNT announced a 27-player roster for their September friendlies against South Africa on Tuesday.
More Details
Six players not included in the World Cup roster will join the team in camp, with 23 players selected for each game-day roster.
Sophia Smith and Kristie Mewis are both out due to injury.
Two standouts from the list are Jaedyn Shaw and Mia Fishel, the only uncapped players invited into camp.
This will be the 18-year-old Shaw’s first call-up to the USWNT senior team and could be Fishel’s first minutes on the field.
The two games will also feature big goodbyes.
The USWNT’s first match in Cincinnati will double as Julie Ertz’s farewell, and the second in Chicago will be Megan Rapinoe’s final game with the team.

When speaking to media on Tuesday, USWNT interim manager Twila Kilgore provided no official timelines on players working their way back from injury.

Sophia Smith and Kristie Mewis are the two World Cup players missing from the September roster due to injury.
Catarina Macario hasn’t been back with the team since tearing her ACL last June.
“She’s done a really good job. And we’re looking forward to potentially having her back in the squad in the future,” Kilgore said of the Chelsea forward.
