Cristiano Ronaldo is a doubt for the Saudi Clasico between Al Nassr and Al Hilal on Friday.
The 38 year old featured for his club in their Champions League encounter where they secured qualification to the next round.
Following the intense matchup, the Portuguese captain has been feared injured but coach Luis Castro assured he should be fit for the all important clash.
“Cristiano Ronaldo’s injury is not easy, but now he is recovering and, God willing, he will be ready.” He said during the post match press conference.
The much anticipated match is billed for Friday with Al Hilal playing host to their eternal rivals.
Luis Castro despite his side’s failure to secure maximum points against Persepolis has expressed satisfaction on the result.
The Knights played out a goalless draw against their opponents but did enough to secure top spot and qualification to the next round.

“We prepare the match with 11 players, but unfortunately we lost a player due to expulsion, and I said for this reason, but we controlled this match and our players gave their best, and I am happy with their level.”
He revealed the aim was to get all three points but admitted the expulsion to Ali Lajami forced them to settle for the draw.
“We controlled the match, but there were fewer chances due to the expulsion, and most importantly, we achieved our first and main goal, which is qualification.”
