Yesterday, Cagliari held Udinese to a goalless draw at home in the first game, an early kick off. In the next game, Serie A new comers, Frosinone secured a win at home against Sassuolo, coming from behind after going down to an early brace from Andrea Pinamonti to win 4-2, with 3 second half goals.

Monza and Lecce were only able to share the spoils (1-1) at the U-Power stadium. Young midfielder, A. Colpani continued his goal scoring form for Monza by grabbing the equalizer after a 3rd minute penalty had given the away side the lead.

It was a goal galore at the Artemis Franchi stadium where Fiorentina defeated their visitors, Atalanta 3-2 with with second half substitute, C. Kouame grabbing a late winner in the 76th minute.

The away side took the lead in the 20th minute through T. Koopmeiners before a a double from G. Bonaventura and Lucas Martin Quarta gave the home side the lead heading into half time. The La Dea were able to draw level in the second half through Ademola Lookman before Kouame struck late on to give the team all three points.

In the last game, a late kick off game, Roma scored seven goals past Empoli to take their first win of the season and last day summer signing, Romelu Lukaku also opened his account for the Giallorosi in the night.

They were already 2 nil up before 10 minutes with goals from Paulo Dybala (penalty, 2nd mins) and Renato Sanches (8th mins). Alberto Grassi added a 3rd in the 35th minute, an own goal.

The Giallorosi weren’t done yet and they added 4 more goals in the second half. First, Dybala got his brace in the 55th minute, before further goal from B. Cristante (80 mins) Lukaku (82 mins) and Gianluca Mancini (86 mins) completed the rout.

Meanwhile…

Jose Mourinho assures Inter have no need to be ‘angry’ at Lukaku, because he was needed more by Roma, but the coach still saw ‘things I didn’t like’ in a 7-0 win over Empoli. The Giallorossi had just one point from the opening three rounds and a lengthy injury list, so went into the Stadio Olimpico determined to make a statement.

Paulo Dybala scored twice, with Renato Sanches, Bryan Cristante, Gianluca Mancini, Lukaku and an own goal rounding out the scoreline. Was Dybala Man of the Match?“I am a coach, so I have to think or at least express myself in a different way,” replied Mourinho after a long pause.

“It was a good performance, but it was not a 7-0 performance. We played to win, to win in a comfortable fashion. There were a few ups and downs, including in terms of fitness, so we could tell there were some who are not in condition to play at high intensity for 90 minutes.

“I am sorry for Empoli, but this is football and at times a 7-0 happens. I still saw some things about the team that I didn’t like from the touchline and we’ll evaluate it more in depth with my staff later.”Lukaku was substituted just moments after scoring his debut goal in the Roma jersey, although Mourinho insists that was not planned.

“It was not important for me. It might be important for him, I know strikers live for the goal. Since the moment he arrived, he has been all about the team and it doesn’t matter if he scores or not. Obviously, he feels happier coming off after a goal and it’s perfect for him, especially to score in front of the Curva.

“Romelu brings a different profile to the team and we still need to learn how to play for him, because we don’t have the hang of it yet, nor does he know how to play for us. We have time to work on it and games help that too.” He further added.
