Reports – Barcelona Will Push For Jadon Sancho’s Transfer In January After Disagreement With Erik Ten Hag

Written by Olaleye Oluwadamilola

Despite their financial instability, Spanish giant Barcelona are reportedly eyeing up a January move for Jadon Sancho after the Manchester United’s £73m man was forced to train alone following spat with manager and has since been axed over falling out with Erik ten Hag.

More Details

With the £73million England international indefinitely suspended in lieu to the spat and the boss stating that he does not know if the 23-year-old will play for him again, Barcelona are considering a January loan move for the Man United winger Jadon Sancho‘, an escape route which the player will grab up with both hands.

After he was left out of the squad that faced Arsenal at the Emirates, Sancho escalated their falling out by publicly claiming he was being made a ‘scapegoat’ through a social media post which has since been deleted and also refused to apologize to the manager.

He has been axed from first-team training and asked to train alone until the issue is resolved but now, it seems there could be a way out for Sancho in January with Spanish outlet Sport reporting that Barca are ‘keeping a close eye on his situation’ and considering a loan move.

United will be wary of Xavi’s side’s financial situation that nearly derailed the loan signings of Joao Cancelo and Joao Felix over the summer and could be left paying a substantial portion of Sancho’s wages if he did join Barca.

Meanwhile…

Mason Greenwood has made his debut for Getafe off the bench in his first appearance since he last played for Manchester United back in January 2022 after the 21-year-old came on as a 77th minute substitute during his side’s LaLiga clash with Osasuna – his first since joining the club on loan from Manchester United in the summer transfer window.

Getafe took a 3-2 victory with Greenwood winning the corner which led to Nemanja Maksimovic scoring an 86th minute winner.
