Report: Tottenham In Talks With Bayern Munich Over Potential Swap Deal

Written by Olugbenga Olonade

Sport Italia’s Rudy Galetti reports that Bayern Munich and Tottenham are locked in talks for the transfers of Corentin Tolisso and Tanguy Ndombele.

Both players are reportedly on the fringes of their respective teams and a move away could benefit all parties involved as both clubs consider a swap deal.

More Details

The 24-year-old Frenchman has informed the Spurs hierarchy of his intention to leave the club and the London-based club look set to oblige him following recent statements from Spurs manager, Nuno Espirito Santo, recently stated that it is not his job to convince players to play for the club.

Tolisso, on the other hand, has found playing time hard to come by in Munich, often due to niggling injuries that have prevented him from showing the Bavarian club the form that made the club spend around €42 million on him in 2017.

Galetti reports that talks between both clubs have been positive so far, even if the first offer from the Germans has been rejected due to the varying values of both players.

Bayern Munich are expected to return with an improved offer that should match, or be close to the demands of the London based club, a figure that is believed to be within the €20 million region.

Both players represented French Ligue 1 side, Olympique Lyonnais before moving abroad, however, neither of them has managed to justify the hefty amount that was spent on them since moving, with Ndombele only showing flashes here and there of what he’s capable of.

The German champions will not be making any move for Juventus’ United States midfielder, Weston McKennie according to a report from SPORT1

Reports in Italy had stated that the American could leave Italy with Juventus said to be prepared to listen to offers following the acquisition of Italy international midfielder, Manuel Locatelli from Sassuolo.

SPORT1 claim that there are currently no contacts or negotiations between the German side and Juventus as Bayern only have their sights on Marcel Sabitzer, who should cost less than the €30 million that Juventus want for McKennie.
