Report – Real Madrid Make Kylian Mbappe Top Target With Spanish Giant Ready To Commit £200m In Wages And Signing-on Fee For Potential January Transfer

Written by Olaleye Oluwadamilola

Spanish giant Real Madrid are reportedly willing to commit £200million to sign their prime transfer target in France NT captain Kylian Mbappe but have no intention of haggling with Paris Saint-Germain as they are willing to launch their pursuit back in January transfer window.

More Details

Talks over the French star didn’t even get started this summer despite Mbappe being frozen out for a time at the Parc des Princes although he has since returned to the fold, smashing in five goals in his first three PSG matches of the season but there are even suggestions he may agree to a new contract that would ensure the Parisians get some money if and when he moves.

But Spanish newspaper Sport say Real Madrid intend to reach a pre-contract agreement for Mbappe in January, so he will join them for nothing when his PSG deal expires on June 30 as Real don’t like PSG president Nasser Al-Khelaifi after he rejected their approaches out of hand even offers approaching £172m.

Meanwhile…

After his resignation on Monday which was yesterday, Spanish Football Association chief Luis Rubiales has insisted he kissed Jennifer Hermoso in the way he would kiss one of his daughters after he was centre of a storm of controversy since he kissed Hermoso on the lips after Spain won the Women’s World Cup final in Sydney last month.

The 46-year-old has faced calls to resign after the incident, with protests against his presidency taking place across Spain and high-profile figures across the world of football and beyond calling for him to step down.

Hermoso lodged a formal complaint last week before returning to Mexico where she plays her club football and prosecutors announced on Friday they had made their formal complaint to a judge at the Audiencia Nacional court in Madrid.

In an interview with Piers Morgan which will air on Tuesday night, he steadfastly maintained he meant no harm by kissing Hermoso.

“There was no harm, no sexual content, no aggression, nothing like that, the significance of the kiss to Jenni would have been exactly the same as a kiss to one of my daughters,” Rubiales told Piers Morgan Uncensored.

Rubiales described the kiss as ‘a very happy moment, a celebration, a euphoric moment’, but concedes he should have acted in a more solemn, cold and diplomatic way.
