Sead Kolasinac is closing in on a move away from Arsenal with a transfer to Schalke 04 on the horizon.
The Bosnian has found playing time hard to come by this season under Mikel Arteta as he finds himself completely outside the manager’s plans.
Kolasinac was on the verge of a move to Bayer Leverkusen last summer but a deal fell through in the last minute as the parties involved were unable to find an agreement.
Schalke 04 have now swooped in to offer the defender a way out in January as they look to bolster their defence line that has conceded 36 goals in just 13 league games this season.
He will join the German club on loan till the end of the season and reportedly waives 2.4 million euros off his salary in order for the move to go through. An official announcement is expected soon.
