More Details

According to multiple report from Diario Sport the Spanish giants have been working to sign the attacking midfielder for quite a while and will pay 4 million euros to secure his services.

The 17-year-old is expected to stay with Kayserispor for the rest of the season but will then join Barcelona and link up with the B team.

The teenager will become the second Demir to join Barca in the summer transfer window. La Blaugrana have already signed Yusuf Demir from Rapid Vienna who has already been an instant success at the Camp Nou.

Demir was originally signed for Barcelona B but he impressed the first team in preseason. Barcelona’s coach Ronald Koeman handed the winger his league debut against Athletic Bilbao.

Yusuf Demir will stay with the first-team a bit longer due to the absence of Ousmane Dembele and Ansu Fati.

Meanwhile…

Manchester United striker Edinson Cavani will not be joining Barcelona from Manchester United, according to Italian journalist Fabrizio Romano.

The Spanish giants were looking to sign a striker in the last day of the summer transfer window and the Uruguayan’s deal seemed like a great opporunity in case Sergio Agüero struggles with his persistent knee injury.

The deal doesn’t make sense for the Red Devil’s to let go of Cavani despite Cristiano Ronaldo’s arrival. Cavani provides depth to the team, the 34-year-old was really good for United last season, and they’ll need every help to compete in the Premier League title race.
