PSG’s Eriksen interest rejected

2019/20 UEFA Champion League finalists, Paris Saint Germain are in the market for a midfielder according to latest reports.

The French giants have been linked with a move in the recent past for Inter Milan’s Radja Nainggolan and Olympique Lyon’s Houssem Aouar but nothing has come out of both interests as the former is reportedly on his way to Serie A side, Cagliari while Aouar’s valuation by Lyon’s president, Jean-Michel Aulas could be too much for PSG given the current financial issues for clubs across Europe.

La Gazzetta Dello Sport’s Nicolo Schira now reports that the French club has turned its sights towards Inter Milan’s Danish midfielder, Christian Eriksen. According to the report, PSG’s sporting director; Leonardo has contacted the Denmark international’s entourage to find out about his availability. They have however been unsuccessful in their attempts as Inter made it clear that the 28-year old is not for sale.

Eriksen arrived at Inter in January in a 27 million-euro move from Tottenham. Since his arrival in Milan, he has struggled to impose himself as the creative force that the club expected him to be. Antonio Conte has regularly stated that the midfielder remains part of his plans for the season as the club hopes to end Juventus’s chokehold on the Scudetto this season.
