Dutch side, PSV Women has signed New Zealand forward, Indiah-Paige Janita Riley.
The club welcomed New Zealand’s Indy Riley, who recently played in the 2023 FIFA Women’s World Cup. The 21-year-old football star signed a contract until mid-2025.
Although Indiah-Paige Janita Riley is only 21 years old, she has been active in professional football for six seasons.
PSV acquired the player from the Australian Brisbane Roar FC, where her career started in 2018.
The European continent is no stranger to her, because in between she spent two years with the Danish side, Fortuna Hjørring.
The player has both a New Zealand and an Australian passport.
For her international career, she chose the ‘Football Ferns’, for which she played three group matches at the World Cup.
She did this as an attacker in a 4-3-3 formation and as a midfielder in a 4-4-2 formation. Unfortunately, four points were not enough for the New Zealanders to reach the knockout round.
Indiah-Paige Riley made her professional debut on 4 November 2018 for Brisbane Roar against the Western Sydney Wanderers coming on as a substitute for Allira Toby in a 1-0 win.
She was nominated for the W-League’s Young Player of the Year award in the 2019/2020 W-League season.
Riley signed for Danish champions Fortuna Hjorring on 3 August 2020.
In January 2023, Riley returned to Australia, signing with former club Brisbane Roar until the end of the 2022/2023 A-League Women’s season.
