OFFICIAL: Liverpool sign Tsimikas

Liverpool have announced the signing of 24-year old Greece international full back, Kostas Tsimikas from Olympiacos.

Tsimikas becomes Liverpool’s first signing this summer and is expected to join his new teammates for preseason soon as the prepare to defend their Premier League title in the new season.

Speaking about the transfer to liverpoolfc.com after the deal was completed, Tsimikas said that he is “very happy, I’m very proud to be here. For me, [it’s] the biggest club in the world. It’s an honour to be here and I will give my best.”

On the Premier League, the Greek player said he likes the league a lot, “I watch it on the TV and it was always one dream I had from when I was a kid to come to play in this league and to come through.”

He is expected to wear the No. 21 shirt for Liverpool.
