Official: Bakayoko Rejoins Milan On Loan

Written by Dare Solomon

AC Milan has announced the signing of Chelsea midfielder Tiemueo Bakayoko on a two-year loan, which could turn into an obligation if certain conditions are met.

Bakayoko spent last season on loan with Napoli making impressive 32 league appearances but has now returned to Milan where he also had a good time a year earlier.

“AC Milan is delighted to announce the signing of midfielder Tiémoué Bakayoko from Chelsea FC on a two-year loan, which could turn into an obligation if certain conditions are met.” Milan wrote on their website

Born in Paris on August 17, 1994, Tiémoué Bakayoko started his professional career at Rennes and then played for Monaco, Chelsea and Napoli before coming back to AC Milan, where he had already played during the 2018/19 season, featuring 42 times and scoring one goal.”

Bakayoko comes in handy for Milan compared to his previous time where there’s doubt over his performance due to his time at Chelsea. But all that should be different now as the French midfielder now has enough league experience and with Frankie Kessie nursing a muscle injury couple the absences of African players like the Ivorian and Ismael Bennacer for the Nations cup in January, Tiemoue Bakayoko will surely be a quality player to call on.

He arrived at Chelsea from Monaco in July 2017 for a reported €40m but has not managed to establish himself with the Londoners, who went all the way in the 2020-21 Champions League.

Yacine Adli has arrived in Milan to undergo his medical tests with the Rossoneri.

Since the exit of Hakan Calhanoglu Milan has been beefing up the midfield and the next official announcement is likely to be Yacine Adil who is set to complete a permanent move to the Stadio San Siro.

However, some conditions have changed compared to the previous information on the negotiation. Bordeaux has indeed agreed to lower their asking price to €10 million but Adli will spend the remainder of the season with Bordeaux on loan. The player has agreed to a five-year contract of 1.5 million per season.

Sky Sports via Football Italia claimed that The French starlet arrived in Milan yesterday to undergo his medicals with the Serie A giants and will return to France this morning.

With the competition in the Milan middle, Adli will have the chance to keep playing regular football in Ligue 1 for one more year. Last season, the former Paris Saint-Germain talent made 35 appearances in the league, scoring 2 goals and providing 5 assists.
