The Super Eagles star has become a subject of transfer interest for clubs in Saudi Arabia.
William Troost Ekong is one of Super Eagles’ most important players at the ongoing AFCON tournament.
The 30 year old is the team’s second top scorer with two goals to his name and only behind Ademola Lookman who has scored three times.
Presently of PAOK in the Greek Super League, Ekong according to a revelation by Fabrizio Romano is under consideration for next summer by clubs from Saudi Arabia.
The Dutch born centre back is being seriously monitored and could have to make a strong decision come summer.
Ekong grew up in the Tottenham Hotspur football academy before going on to represent clubs in Holland, Italy, Norway, Turkey, England and now Greece.
For now, the Super Eagles assistant captain is focused on his team’s final showdown against Ivory Coast on Sunday.
Ahead of the final cracker between Nigeria and Ivory Coast on Sunday, William Troost Ekong has urged his players to not “gree for anybody.”
The popular phrase which is a social slogan in Nigeria has been adopted across the country and in diaspora with its literary meaning being “don’t fold.”

Nigeria have been super impressive in the tournament and remains unbeaten as they go for their fourth AFCON title.
Leading the charge from the back is Troost Ekong who has already contributed with two goals, both coming from the penalty spot.
Nigeria defeated the Ivorians in the group stage thanks to a well taken spot kick by the Dutch born central defender.
