While Eddie Howe has worked wonders with the players he has available, the club is pressing forward, keeping an eye on a number of players to help improve the team. Should they keep up with their current form and clinch an European place at the end of the season, it is expected that the club will go on a spending spree to further strengthen the team.
Argentine striker, Joaquin Correa is said to be considering his future at Italian side, Inter Milan after failing to get a starting spot since making the switch from Lazio two years ago, signing initially on loan before making the move permanent at the start of this season.
He poor form in front of goals (6 goals in 2021/22 season in 26 appearances and 3 goals in 13 games so far this season) may present some sort of worry for the Tyneside club, but the opportunity to sign a player of his caliber looks like an opportunity too good to be passed up on.
With a price tag of €25 to €30 million, the player may consider a change of scenery after his latest heartbreak, where he was dropped from Argentina squad going to the World Cup due to injury.

Belgium striker, Romelu Lukaku may be having a change of heart over his potential return to Chelsea after joining Inter Milan on loan for this season.
Last season, he joined Chelsea from Inter Milan for a high fee, but never really excelled at the Stamford Bridge and was subsequently loan back to the Nerazzurri this season with a view of making the loan move permanent or even extending the loan further.

But with Chelsea said to be considering making a move for Cristiano Ronaldo, following the break in relationship between the Portuguese and Manchester United, the prospect of playing alongside Ronaldo is said to be of interest to Lukaku. The exit of Thomas Tuchel may also factor in on his decision whether to return or seek for a move elsewhere if Inter refuse to make moves to sign him permanently.
Given his recent struggles with injuries which has stopped him from playing regularly, hence giving the Italian club a rethink about whether to sign Lukaku permanently or not, a return to Chelsea could be on the card for the big striker, but first he will be focusing much of his attention on doing well with Belgium at the World Cup before thinking of his future next year in June.
