It was first thought that the injury, which Chelsea sustained during their 3-1 FA Cup victory over Aston Villa last Wednesday, would simply be a minor issue.

Nevertheless, tests showed that the Frenchman, who has already missed 14 games in all competitions this season, will likely spend another significant amount of time on the sidelines, the Evening Standard said.

Badiashile will miss the Blues’ match against Crystal Palace on Monday as well as, most importantly, the team’s journey to Wembley on February 25 to play Liverpool in the Carabao Cup final. Along with Disasi, Badiashile became a regular starter for Mauricio Pochettino’s team in three of the previous four games.

It happened after Thiago Silva was benched from the team after Chelsea’s 4-2 thrashing at the hands of Wolves a week prior because to his ageing performance.

After his performance at Villa Park, Badiashille received praise from Cesc Fabregas, the former Chelsea great, who referred to him as one of the best young ball-playing defenders in Europe.

Jadon Sancho has joined Borussia Dortmund on loan from Manchester United for the remainder of the 2023–24 campaign.

Two and a half years have passed since the England international permanently switched to the Red Devils, who paid £73 million for his services in the summer of 2021.

“Manchester United forward Jadon Sancho has rejoined former club Borussia Dortmund on loan until the end of the season,” the Red Devils said in a statement. “The England international of 23 caps leaves with our best wishes for the remainder of this season.”
