Monchengladbach favourites for Lazaro

Borussia Monchengladbach currently lead the queue of clubs reportedly interested in signing Inter Milan winger, Valentino Lazaro according to Sky Italia.

Lazaro, 24, joined Inter last summer in a 22 million Euros deal from German club side, Hertha Berlin but failed to impress Antonio Conte which resulted in the club sending him out on loan to Newcastle United in the January transfer window.

Newcastle United were reportedly intent on keeping the Austrian but after the club’s takeover supposedly hit the rocks some days ago, Lazaro’s future at the club became doubtful.

Now it is believed that the player is attracting interest from some Bundesliga clubs including RB Leipzig, Borussia Monchengladbach with his agent stating recently that they are “in talks with a Champions League club.” It appears that the club with the advantage in the negotiations is Monchengladbach as Sky Italia reports that they are closing in on a loan deal with Inter Milan. The deal will include an option to buy and if all things go as planned, should be completed soon.
