Melvine Malard Completes Loan Move To United

Manchester United Women continue their busy signing on the final day of the English Women’s Super League (WSL) transfer window.

The team announced the signing of France international Melvine Malard on loan.
The 23-year-old forward joined United from French Division 1 Feminine side Lyon, where she has won the UEFA Women’s Champions League four times, in addition to two French top-flight titles.
Malard made her full international debut on 18 September 2020, as France defeated Serbia 2-0.
Earlier that year, Malard was named one of the 10 most promising young players in Europe by UEFA.
She joined the likes of Irene Guerrero, Gabby George, and Phallon Tullis-Joyce as players arriving at Marc Skinner’s side on the last day of the league transfer window.
Head coach Marc Skinner said: “Melvine’s honours speak for themselves, and we are delighted to welcome a proven winner at domestic and European level to our Manchester United family.
“Melvine will no doubt excite our fans and bring a fluid attacking quality to our team.”

Manchester United also confirmed that Alyssa Aherne will spend the 2023/2024 campaign on loan at fellow Women’s Super League side Everton.

The 19-year-old winger signed her first professional contract with the club in May, after graduating from our Academy, which she joined at the age of 13.
Head coach Marc Skinner said: “This season-long loan will allow Alyssa to develop her game by playing regular minutes in the WSL.”
