Mbappe To Real Madrid Now Off

Written by Onyeka Daniel

Real Madrid has had French forward, Kylian Mbappe on their radar throughout this summer transfer window, even going as far as making an official bid to his club to register their interest in the player, who is said to be keen to join up with the Los Blancos but PSG on their part have stood firm in their valuation of the player and this may have prompted the Los Blancos to abandon talks as they deem the price excessive.

After PSG director, Leonardo confirmed that Mbappe has expressed his wish to leave for Real Madrid, the two clubs seem to be on a war path as the Parisians aren’t ready to drop their price for the player even though he is sitting on an expiring contract and they run the risk of losing him for free next year if he still refuses to sign a new deal while Real Madrid would be hoping that would be the case so they can invest the money earmarked for his transfer to strengthen other areas of the team.

Madrid had a €160m offer turned down last week, before following that up with a bid of €170m plus €10m in variables that drew a great deal more interest. But PSG appears to not be biting, keen to wait out until a fee in excess of €200m is broached as they have to pay his previous club, AS Monaco a part of any fee received for the player in the case of any transfer. Mbappe scored a brace for PSG last night against Reims, the same day Lionel Messi made his debut for the French club having joined from Barcelona.

Real Madrid are said to be readying a fee of about €30m for French midfielder Edouard Camavinga, who plays for Rennes.

According to transfer expert, Fabrizio Romano, the Los Blancos would rather sign the teenager now instead of waiting for his contract to expire next year and risk losing him to a higher bidder. With personal terms reported to have been agreed between the player and Real Madrid, all that remains is for them to submit an official bid to Rennes who would gladly accept than lose him for free next summer.
