2018 World Cup finalist and Croatia NT captain Luka Modric will leave Real Madrid at the end of the season to join the Saudi Pro League according to multiple reports from various Spanish outlet after the 38-year-old veteran midfielder has seen his playing time reduced due to the arrival of Jude Bellingham with his agent previously hinting that he has had several offers from top clubs.
Having spent 12 years with Los Blancos, Modric looks set to end his stay with Real Madrid at the end of the season according to Sport.
“This summer there was interest. The player has several offers, from a club the capital and another club. Modric is currently thinking about Real Madrid, but the idea of him moving to the Saudi Pro League is possible if the offer is suitable”, his agent had previously stated.
Although Real Madrid have previously stated they are not considering any deals with Saudi clubs, a multi-million-pound contract in the Saudi Pro League would be too good of an offer to turn down for both the player and the club.
The club will likely allow Modric to leave at the end of the season and not in January as they will look to keep him as injury cover as they compete at all fronts.
