Paris Saint Germain are looking to beat the duo of Napoli and Tottenham Hotspur to the signing of highly rated Spanish manager in Luis Enrique with the Paris club chiefs seeing him as an ideal replacement for underwhelming Christophe Galtier who is expected to leave at the end of the season.
More Details
Christophe Galtier is expected to leave PSG at the end of the season which has been plagued with failure in the UEFA champions league, early Coupe De France exit, averaging the highest Ligue 1 loses this season amidst injury to key players and the club chiefs are braced up to let him go as they look unto Luis Enrique to start the club’s rebuilding project.
The Spaniard is currently available after leaving Spain in the aftermath of the World Cup in Qatar, and he has since been linked with a host of clubs who are looking for a new manager with the likes of Tottenham and Napoli vying for his signature.
Tottenham have long been linked with the 53-year-old, with the Premier League side having to look elsewhere after they were snubbed by Feyenoord boss Arne Slot.
In other news, Enrique along with Antonio Conte have emerged as leading contenders to replace Luciano Spalletti as Napoli boss but Fench publication Le Parisien have now reported that PSG are targeting Enrique as a potential replacement for Galtier.
As reported that unlike other candidates including Roma’s Jose Mourinho and Bologna’s Thiago Motta, PSG chiefs ‘unanimously agree’ that Enrique would be a good choice given his experience on the big stage.
PSG respect his experience of managing big-name players as well as his attractive playing style and Spanish being the main language spoken at the club’s training ground would be another strong factor in his favour.
Meanwhile…
Keylor Navas has targeted remaining in the Premier League when his loan spell at Nottingham Forest ends with four clubs reportedly keen to sign the veteran goalkeeper who is loan from PSG after losing his place to Gianluigi Donnarumma.

Navas is keen to remain in EPL having previously plied his trade with Real Madrid wining all there’s to win before moving to PSG but left for regular action after Christophe Galtier made his desire to make Italian international Donnarumma his first choice goalkeeper.
Nottingham Forest who narrowly escaped relegation this season wants to sign on loan Manchester United goalkeeper permanently but it hasn’t been made known if the Red Devils will consider the England international exit with the player not willing to play second fiddle to De Gea who is preferred in between the sticks by Erik Ten Haag.
