Club president, Claudio Lotito has been in talks with the former Chelsea trainer and the last 48 hours has seen Lotito push for details to be sorted out.
Sarri on the other hand seems satisfied with things but demands at least a couple of reinforcements in the January market preferably a forward and a central defender.
Sarri reportedly made it clear that Lazio need a new goalkeeper and a new midfielder, as Lucas Leiva’s deal expires in June.
Meanwhile…
Chelsea goalkeeper, Kepa Arrizabalaga could be the man the goal in Rome as Lazio look lure the Spaniard to their camp.
News agency, SBNation claim that ever since Maurizio Sarri took over the helm at the Italian side, with the former Chelsea manager has continued to push for Arrizabalaga’s arrival at the Stadio Olimpico just like he did at Stamford Bridge.
Kepa according to report will like to join Lazio having lost his top spot in Chelsea. His situation at Chelsea is likely not to change as he contends with Edouard Mendy, one of the best in that position.
However, the obvious obstacle would be the finances involved, even if it is only a loan, the 27-year-old’s €7m annual salary is well-outside the Serie A side’s salary structure, with only Ciro Immobile earning close to that figure.
