Luka Jovic is set for a return to Germany as move to Eintracht Frankfurt is close to completion according to multiple reports.
The 23-year old spent two years with Frankfurt where he announced himself as one of the best young strikers in Europe between 2017 and 2019. His rich scoring form prompted Spanish giants, Real Madrid to spend 60 million Euros to acquire him from the German club.
Since his move to Spain however, Jovic has failed to live up to his hefty price tag, he has struggled for regular game time at the Spanish capital and has often been linked with a move away from the club.
The Serbian forward had been linked with moves to AC Milan and Manchester United in the past but nothing concrete developed from those links. A loan move back to Eintracht Frankfurt now seems to be on the cards as Fabrizio Romano reports that the striker is excited about the prospects of returning to his old club.
Frankfurt find themselves in 9th position in the Bundesliga, five points from the last Champions League spot. The club will be hoping to complete the sigining of Jovic in order to boost its chances of qualifying for European competitions next season.
