Two notable players that could see their contract expire soon are goalkeeper, David De Gea and England striker, Marcus Rashford.
For De Gea, the club would like to keep him even if Erik Ten Hag would prefer to sign a keeper that is more comfortable with the ball at his feet, while for Rashford, it’s a unanimous decision that he’s going to stay.

He has been in superb form League action resumes after the World Cup break, scoring 19 goals in 25 appearances. Negotiations continue over finalising a long-term deal but, Rashford, though, has rejected suggestions he is holding out for a big-money pay deal to stay at Old Trafford.
“Just before this one starts to do the rounds! It’s complete nonsense,” Rashford wrote on his Instagram story. “The club and myself have been respectful to one another, and that’s how it will remain. My focus is purely on finishing as well as possible in the league and winning trophies.” He further added.
The 25-year-old who was forced out of the England squad in the just concluded international break due to a slight knock, spent some time in New York in that time and has returned to training with United ahead of Sunday’s Premier League game at Newcastle.
There are reports of an interesting from French club, PSG with their president making it known that he holds a special interest in the player, but according to reports from England, the player wants to stay with the Red Devils and sign a new contract, hence it’s a matter of time before the new deal is announced even if his current contract is set to expire in 2024.
Rashford had his contract automatically extended in December after United triggered a one-year optional clause in the five-year deal he signed back in 2018.

Arsenal defender, Kieran Tierney has been injured while on international duty with Scotland as he was forced to limp off the pitch due to an injury after hurting himself following a tackle from Manchester City star Rodri last night.
Scotland pulled off a shock upset over Spain in their European qualifiers, beating them 2-0. Tierney started on the left side of a back three, and he had an excellent game until he was forced off in the 76th minute.

According to initial assessment, it is indeed a calf problem and it is ‘highly unlikely’ that Tierney will be available for selection when Arsenal host Leeds United this weekend. That is a blow for the Gunners and their title chances as they have already lost Takehiro Tomiyasu for the remainder of the season to injury.
The EPL leaders will be left with just one full-back on each side ( Oleksandr Zinchenko on the left and Ben White on the opposite side). If either of them suffers an injury or gets suspended, the Gunners will be in real trouble. Tierney hasn’t played much this season, but he is still a ‘superb‘ player. He showed his quality when he came on as a substitute and provided an assist in Arsenal’s last game before the break against Crystal Palace.
