Federico Redondo, a midfielder for Argentinos Juniors and the Argentina youth national team, is reportedly in talks to join Inter Miami.
The 21-year-old kid has been heavily linked to a move to Florida, and Inter Miami is obviously keen in signing Redondo before the transfer window expires at the end of the next month.
Redondo has been compared to Sergio Busquets and is regarded as a “elite” midfield scanner by Total Football Analysis, which is one of the reasons Inter Miami is acting quickly to sign him.
ESPN also reports that the Herons are currently in negotiations with Argentinos Juniors to sign the midfield player, with Inter Miami having already placed a $8 million transfer offer on the table.
According to the source, Redondo would be eligible to join for Inter Miami as a U-22, which would allow Inter Miami to be more lenient with their compensation criteria and present the midfielder with a contract that would appeal to him.
The young player has been linked to teams like Real Madrid and Liverpool, but Inter Miami is moving forward, so if the Herons play their cards well, the Argentine may soon be moving to Florida.
Luis Muriel is scheduled to join Orlando City in Major League Soccer (MLS), but Atalanta director Luca Percassi says he will be welcomed back to Bergamo for “the send-off he deserves.”
When the Colombian international was acquired from Sevilla in the summer of 2019 for €21.2 million, he briefly held the record for the most expensive signing in the club’s history.
“Let’s say the transfer should be completed over the next few hours,” Percassi told DAZN.
