Following Jordi Alba’s exit from the field, Lionel Messi was forced off the field in the 37th minute of Inter Miami CF’s 4-0 victory over Toronto FC due to what appeared to be a leg injury.

Despite not traveling for Saturday’s 5-2 loss at Atlanta United FC, Messi and Alba, who both started the game, were plainly in pain despite not taking part in any particularly strenuous battles or noticeably hobbling.
After leaving the pitch, both players headed straight to the bench rather than the locker room. Miami’s Facundo Farias then scored a goal to give the home team a 1-0 lead at the half. Then, Robert Taylor produced two magnificent goals.
Prior to Miami’s upcoming encounter against Orlando City on Sunday, Martino stated that both Messi and Alba would be assessed in the upcoming days.
Messi showed early signs of being in good form and missed a great opportunity when his close-range far-post volley went over the bar in the 23rd minute. However, 15 minutes later, it became apparent that the Argentine was laboring as a result of a medical problem, and Taylor was brought in to take his place.
Only four minutes had passed after Alba left before Messi. Before the Miami players exited the game, Toronto made two more substitutes, with Victor Vasquez—another former Barcelona youth player—being forced off in the 12th minute. Just 14 minutes later, his substitute, Brandon Servania, had to be helped off due to what appeared to be a knee injury.

John Herdman has been officially named the new coach of MLS based club Toronto FC. Starting on October 1st, the 48-year-old will take over as Toronto FC’s next head coach in the MLS.
Herdman became the coach of Canada in January 2018 before leading the North American giants to the 2022 FIFA World Cup, their first appearance in 36 years.
“I’m keen to start this new opportunity with Toronto FC,” he said. “It’s the right time for a new challenge.” Toronto fired former head coach Bob Bradley in June and are currently towards the bottom of the MLS standings.
