Inter Milan defender Alessandro Bastoni could end up leaving the club at the end of the season.
The 23 year old is on a contract that expires next summer and negotiation over a new deal is ongoing between his agent and the club.
Bastoni as reported by Gazzetta is asking for a net salary of €5.5m per annum with Inter willing to pay just around €4m with bonuses.
Bastoni is an integral part of the team’s setup and the club would not want to lose their prized asset.
However, the two parties are far from an agreement and should it happen that a middle ground is not found, Inter could be forced to sell the left footed defender to avoid a repeat of the Milan Skriniar situation.
Meanwhile…
The players agent Tullio Tinti has called for calm regarding the future of his client.
Speaking to FCInterNews about the tensions around Bastoni’s future, the Italian representative expressed his disbelief as to the unrest amongst Inter fans and assured the player’s will is to remain.

Bastoni has been at Inter since 2017 when he was signed from Atalanta as a teenager for a fee that exceeded €30m.
