The Reds administration is presently looking for a replacement for Jurgen Klopp, who declared last month that he would be leaving his position at Anfield at the end of the campaign.

Even though his contract runs until the summer of 2026, Klopp told supporters two months after notifying the owners of his decision to step down that he was “running out of energy” to lead Liverpool as head coach any longer.

“I know him, and I am sure his dream is to coach Liverpool. I am sure he will leave Leverkusen in the summer,” Schweinsteiger said while working as a pundit in Germany.

Since taking over as Leverkusen’s manager in October 2022, Alonso’s team has won 43 games, drawn 14 and lost 10; in his first season in charge, Die Werkself made it to the Europa League semifinals.

Although Real and Bayern Munich might also be interested in signing Alonso, Liverpool is putting the pressure on other contenders, such as Ruben Amorim, the head coach of Sporting Lisbon.

Others associated with the position include Zinedine Zidane, Thomas Frank, Roberto De Zerbi, and Julian Nagelsmann. Nagelsmann, who is now in charge of Germany, has acknowledged that he has no idea what will happen to him after Euro 2024.

Jadon Sancho has joined Borussia Dortmund on loan from Manchester United for the remainder of the 2023–24 campaign.

Two and a half years have passed since the England international permanently switched to the Red Devils, who paid £73 million for his services in the summer of 2021.

“Manchester United forward Jadon Sancho has rejoined former club Borussia Dortmund on loan until the end of the season,” the Red Devils said in a statement. “The England international of 23 caps leaves with our best wishes for the remainder of this season.”
