More Details

The move is reported by Fabrizio Romano to be on an initial basis with an option to make the move permanent for €40 million.

Barcelona bought Griezmann from Atletico two years ago for around €120 million and he will be heading back even if his value has dropped due to his inconsistent performances at the Camp Nou.

However, Atletico coach, Diego Simeone, is confident of getting the best out of the player as he played his best football under him which was why Barca made the move for him in the first place. Griezmann on his part is said to have agreed personal terms with the Los Rojiblancos. It is believed to be for two years with an option to extend for an extra year.

Joao Felix was rumored to be heading in the other direction as a swap deal but both teams seem to have abandoned this avenue.
