Federico Dimarco who is the joint top assist provider in this season’s Champions League has analyzed the upcoming final.
The Italian defender is set to start for the Nerazzurri on June 10 when they take to the pitch in Turkey.
Speaking at a press conference ahead of the final showdown, the Inter academy graduate answered questions regarding the game.
“Inter’s history speaks, it doesn’t happen every day. It is an incredible thing and we are really proud of ourselves.”
Asked about the atmosphere in the locker room, he said: “We are so happy to have reached this milestone, we deserved it on the pitch and we know we are meeting a strong team. For us to win this trophy is a dream, for them an obsession.”
Asked if anything changes depending on who plays in the attack: “We will have to play our game, as Inter. I don’t think it’s only the attack, we are a strong team and we have shown it on the way.”
On what to do to achieve a desired result: “We have to throw our hearts over the hurdle. We have to be Inter: if we do ‘Inter’ we can achieve great results.”

Darmian reckons the first leg tie against Barcelona where the finalists won 1-0 thanks to a Calhanoglu strike was the real turning point.
“The emotions will be many, postive and beautiful. We have made a good path that led us to this match and now we want to enjoy it. We got through a very difficult round and I think the first leg with Barcelona was fundamental for us to be even more aware of our strength. He told SkySports Italia.
“I think everything will be needed, from emotion management to personality. We know that they are very strong but we will play it in the best way because the details will make the difference.”

Darmian has been playing as a makeshift centre back since Milan Skriniar has been ruled out and has stepped up beyond everyone’s expectations.
