It’s week 37 in the English Premier League season, with the League coming close to a conclusion but the winner of the title is not yet determined, unlike other top Leagues like in Spain and Italy.

With two to three games to go, there’s still no declared winner, but it’s looking like the defending champions, Manchester City will eventually retain their crown from last week’s results.

Let’s take a look at some of top performers from last week. In goal is Newcastle United goalkeeper, Nick Pope and despite letting in three goals, he scored 10 points in two games after saving a penalty against Leeds United.

He got a goal in the 3-0 win over Arsenal but failed to prevent his team’s humiliation away to Newcastle (4-1). Liverpool’s Trent Alexander Arnold scored 13 points from only one game, in the 3-0 win over Leicester City away from home as he bagged an assist plus a clean sheet.

Brentford’s Ben Mee made up the back three with 11 points as the Bees defeated West Ham 2-0. In the midfield, we’ve Ilkay Gundogan (19 points) Curtis Jones of Liverpool (16 points), Ebere Eze of Crystal Palace (16 points) and Raheem Sterling of Chelsea (15 points).

They all scored two goals each for their respective teams in the week’s round of fixtures. In attack, Newcastle United forward, Callum Wilson (24 points), Deniz Undav of Brighton (13 points) and Taiwo Awoniyi of Nottingham Forest (12 points) completes the list.

Wilson scored 3 goals and 1 assist across two match, Undav also did two goals in two matches but he also scored an own goal against Newcastle while Awoniyi scored two goals in one match. Other notable mentions are Kieran Trippier with 11 points, Mo Salah with 12 points and Douglas Luiz of Aston Villa with 11 points.

Top Picks For The Week…..

Looking forward to the games for this week, we have some matches that have the potential to produce plenty of goals.

Manchester City, Brighton and Chelsea will be playing two matches this week, hence it would be a big plus having their players in your squad, especially from Manchester City and Brighton with the likes of Erling Haaland, who has failed to score goals in his last couple of matches, Gundogan, Bernardo Silva, Jack Grealish, Phil Foden and Riyad Mahrez.

From Brighton, we can point to Alexis Mac Allister, Kaoru Mitoma, Deniz Undav and Julio Enciso. With Manchester United chasing a top four finish, they will be going away to Bournemouth with the intention of getting all three points. Keep an eye out for Marcus Rashford and Bruno Fernandes.

Liverpool against Aston Villa looks like it could swing either way, between a low scoring match and a high scoring one. The likes of Ollie Watkins and Mo Salah remain their top players. Arsenal will be keen to bounce back from their previous defeat. They will be playing against Nottingham Forest, away from home.

Leandro Trossard, Bukayo Saka and Gabriel Jesus will definitely be running the show for the Gunners. Newcastle United will welcome Leicester city to the St James park and expect Eddie Howe to continue with his striking duo of Callum Wilson and Alexander Isak upfront.

Other names worth mentioning are Manchester United Luke Shaw, City’s Manuel Akanji and Kevin De Bruyne and Estupinian from Brighton. City have the chance of clinching the EPL title this week if they can get two wins from their two games against Chelsea and Brighton.
