It’s week 35 and we’re gradually getting closer to the end of the season in the English Premier League with just five matches left to play for most team in the EPL while some teams have about six or seven games to play.

More Details

Before we go into the possible matches and players that can provide the high points in the fantasy Premier League this week, it’s imperative that we look at the top performers from last week. In goal is Brighton Jason Steele who was able to keep two clean sheets as the Seagulls played two games, against Wolves (6-0) and Manchester United (1-0) and he got a whopping 15 points for his saves and efforts.

In defense, the duo of Pervis Estupian and Adam Webster also starred for Brighton and got 16 and 11 points respectively. Another player who was in fine form is Manchester City defender, Nathan Ake, who despite missing the first game against Fulham was able to get 15 points in the FPL due to his goal against West Ham in the other game for City and he also kept a clean sheet at the other end.

In the middle, we have Mo Salah of Liverpool (18), Jefferson Lerma of Bournemouth (15), Tomas Soucek of West Ham (15), Martin Odegaard of Arsenal (15) and Brighton’s Pascal Gross with (14) points. Salah scored two goals in two games against Tottenham Hotspur and the1-0 win over Fulham. Lerma also scored two goals in the 4-1 win over Leeds United.

For Soucek, he got a goal and two assist in the 4-3 loss to Crystal Palace but was missing against City in their other game. Odegaard scored two goals in the Gunner’s 3-1 win over Chelsea while Gross scored two goals plus one assist in the 6-1 win over Wolves while he was missing in the other game against Manchester United.

In Attack, we have the duo of Danny Welbeck of Brighton and man of the moment, Erling Haaland who has scored 35 goals in the EPL this season. Welbeck got two goals against Wolves but failed to find the net against Manchester United while Haaland scored two goals, a goal each against Fulham and West Ham.

Other notable mentions include Deniz Undav and Alexis Mac Allister of Brighton with 13 and 12 points respectively, Julian Alvarez with 14 points, Newcastle United forward and Callum Wilson with 14 points.

Top Picks For The Week……..

For this week’s games, we have a couple of important fixtures like City vs Leeds United, Spurs vs Crystal Palace, Newcastle United vs Arsenal, Liverpool vs Brentford and West Ham vs Manchester United. With City playing against Real Madrid in the UCL, it’s expected that he would rotate his squad but Haaland would definitely start, but he definitely won’t be lasting the whole duration of the match.

With Kevin De Bruyne expected to miss this game, the likes of Alvarez, Grealish, Phil Foden and Riyad Mahrez should get their chances. Chelsea going away to Bournemouth looks like the perfect game for the Blues to finally get a win under Frank Lampard and it looks like a low scoring game, but keep an eye on Kai Havertz and Mykhailo Mudryk.

Spurs against Crystal Palace is a game that can swing both ways but watch out for Harry Kane, Son Heung-min, Wilfred Zaha and Ebere Eze. Wolves vs Aston Villa looks like a game that could bring in a fair number of goals with Podence and Watkins the major goal threat for both teams.

Liverpool against Brentford will present Mo Salah another opportunity to increase his goal tally but against an organized Brentford, it could prove easier said than done. For the Bees, they will have Ivan Toney and Dasilva upfront while goalkeeper, David Raya will be keen to continue his impressive form this season against the Reds.

Brighton against Everton could swing either way as a high scoring Brighton meets an Everton side that would be keen to avoid conceding in their battle to escape relegation. Marcus Rashford should definitely be on target for Manchester United against West Ham after missing many chances against Brighton during the mid-week rescheduled game.
