The Germany international signed with Chelsea in 2020 for an estimated £56 million after the Blues defeated Liverpool in the league.

Werner battled with form and fitness during his two seasons in London, though, so they were far from fruitful. For a bargain price of about £25 million, Werner rejoined his old team, Leipzig, in 2022, but this season his confidence has completely collapsed.

Leipzig said they are “supporting” Werner, acknowledging that he has been having difficulties. However, the Germans state that if Werner makes it obvious that he wants to leave the club, they will consider offers.

‘We look carefully at our squad, and we want players who have that something a bit different in their heads,’ said Leizpig director Rouven Schroder.

‘Those are the types of players who we will pick. Timo is going through a difficult spell, and we are supporting him. Life isn’t always sunshine.

Erik ten Hag is anxious to prevent Jadon Sancho from making a “empty gesture,” therefore Manchester United is apparently willing to accept a “significant loss” on him.

Sancho has a disruptive impact on the rest of United’s team, according to manager Ten Hag, who is determined to get rid of the winger.

This season, Sancho and Ten Hag had a nasty falling out, with the Dutchman publicly criticizing his player in the media for his lack of effort in practice. After spending £73 million on him in 2021, United is now willing to suffer a “significant loss” on the player in the January transfer window.
