The Nintendo Switch version of the game runs on the Frostbite game engine for the first time, providing similar gameplay to the PlayStation4 and Xbox One versions of the game.
Switch entries since FIFA20 have been widely criticised for being released as Legacy Editions; versions of the game where kits, rosters, and stadiums were updated from the previous release, but added no new gameplay features.
