Italian Serie A side, Genoa and Olympique Marseille have reached an agreement for the transfer of Dutch midfielder, Kevin Strootman.
Strootman, 30, will be making a return to the Italian league after a five-year spell at the Italian capital with AS Roma between 2013 and 2018. The midfielder has struggled for game time under Andre Villas Boas this season having only registered one start for the French club in Ligue 1.
Genoa have struggled in Serie A this season as they find themselves in 17th position on the league standings. Strootman will prove to be some much needed reinforcement for newly appointed manager, Davide Ballardini.
Fabrizio Romano reports that it will be a permanent move for the 30-year old who has landed in Italy for his medicals already.
