Cristiano Ronaldo at 38 is still making the headlines for the right reasons in the world of football.
The Portugual legend missed the first game of the Roshn Saudi Pro League and fired Blancos in his first game back from injury but has made up for all that with five goals and two assists in the two games that followed.
Ronaldo is enjoying his best spell yet in the colours of Al Nassr with three and two goals respectively in the last two games where his team scored a total of nine goals.
Already the highest earning player in the league, Ronaldo proved he is not just living on reputation with an August to remember.
With five goals and two assists, more than any other player in both categories, the five time Ballon d’Or winner has been named the Roshn Super League player for the month of August.

In a related development, Al Ittihad shot stopper Marcelo Grohe has been named the Roshn Super League goalkeeper for the month of August.
The veteran has played four games this Super League season and has shut out his opponents in each of those games.

His team sits at the top of the log with maximum points from four games and his efforts have been recognized by the organizers of the award.

Nuno Espírito Santo was named the coach of the month for being the brain behind Al Ittihad’s perfect start to the defence of their title while Al Taawoun’s Abdulmalik Al Oyayari won the most promising player of the month.
