Ahead of the first training under the watch of the new manager Simone Inzaghi, Inter Milan confirmed that three Primavera players, who were supposed to join up with the first-team squad, have tested positive for Covid-19.

The players whose names were withheld will be self-isolating at home as the Nerazzurri kicked preseason preparations with the Suning Training Centre on Thursday.

“FC Internazionale Milano can confirm that three Primavera players, who were supposed to join up with the first-team squad, recorded positive Covid-19 tests that were taken ahead of the training camp. All three players are currently self-isolating at home.” the team website reads

This brings to mind the Nerazzurri experience of having six players tested ahead of the Milan derby back in October 2020. And with Ivan Perisic the latest casualty for the first team, Inter will have to take extra precautions.
