Chelsea Preparing A Mega Offer For Napoli Forward

After a spending spree during the January transfer window, English Premier League side, Chelsea are preparing for another spending in the summer as they look to totally revamp their squad to please Graham Potter.

Top on their list is the acquisition of a striker and Napoli forward, Victor Osimhen is their top target, but actually signing him will present a huge problem as the Italian side will demand a huge fee before they can release him.

The 24-year-old joined the Serie A club back in the summer of 2020 from LOSC Lille. He has gone from strength to strength since joining them. The Nigeria international has featured in a total of 90 matches and has 65 goal contributions to his name. He has been on fire In the ongoing season.
His goal scoring records have caught the eyes of quite a few big clubs from across Europe including Chelsea. He is leading the race for the Serie A Golden Boot with 19 goals to his name and has 28 goal contributions in his 28 outings in all competitions this season, including 23 strikes.
With Chelsea having issues with finding the back of the net recently, a move for Osimhen has become more important and Chelsea are ready to o go all out and will reportedly offer Christian Pulisic in a player plus cash offer to tempt the Partenopei into selling.
There’s also the option of sending Romelu Lukaku to Napoli when he comes back from his loan move from Inter Milan, who are said to be having second thoughts about retaining the Belgian.

Potter has reportedly informed the Chelsea board that he would like a new goalkeeper in the summer to replace Edouard Mendy and have identified Leeds United goalkeeper, Illan Meslier as a potential target. Mendy has been told he can leave Chelsea this summer as the club looks to cut the number of players in Potter’s squad.

The 30-year-old has less than 18 months left on his current contract with the Blues, having joined them from Stade Rennes in 2020. Mendy has made only 11 appearances across all competitions for Chelsea this season due to persistent injuries and poor form and he is now expected to head for the exit door with Meslier lined-up as a potential replacement.
According to reports, it will take a figure of about €30 million to pry the shot stopper from Leeds, but should they get relegated, his signing could become easier but they will have to deal with Tottenham Hotspur who are seeking for a goalkeeper to challenge and replace Hugo Lloris at the club.
