After entering the final six months of his contract with Xavi’s side, the former Borussia Dortmund star was widely expected to leave Camp Nou during the winter window.
Following the news that his proposed move to Paris Saint-Germain had fallen through, Dembele was linked with a last-minute move to Chelsea, but no deal was reached.
The 24-year-old is therefore set to see out the season with La Blaugrana, but Sky Sports News claims that Chelsea still intend to secure his services this summer.
At the conclusion of the season, Dembele will be able to leave Barcelona for nothing, five years after the Catalan giants paid £126 million to recruit him from Dortmund.
Arsenal and Tottenham Hotspur are also said to have expressed an interest in the France international, who has one goal and two assists in 11 games during an injury-plagued 2021-22 season.

Inaki Pena, the Barcelona goalkeeper, confirmed the news that had been expected this week. After arriving in Istanbul, the teenager spoke to reporters and stated that he would be joining Galatasaray on loan until the end of the season.
“It makes me very happy to play with a player like Fernando Muslera, I can learn a lot from him,” he said.
“My future at Galatasaray is uncertain for now, I don’t know what will happen at the end of the season.”
Barcelona are yet to make the deal official but it’s thought it will be a straight loan without a purchase option and Pena will return at the end of the season.
