It’s no longer news that Thomas Tuchel has been appointed as coach of German side, Bayern Munich, 6 months after his sacking as coach of Chelsea, but the former Borussia Dortmund coach as already giving his former team headaches at his new job.

Highly-rated coach Anthony Barry has reportedly asked to leave Chelsea to join Thomas Tuchel at Bayern Munich ahead of the Blues’ Premier League clash with Aston Villa.

Following Tuchel’s appointment at Bayern, Chelsea coach Barry would like to join him at the Allianz, with the Blues demanding a compensation payment and the two clubs are now locked in negotiations, according to reports from Germany (BILD).

The 36-years old has also taken up a part-time coaching role with the Portugal national team alongside his Chelsea duties. He was first hired at the Stamford Bridge by Frank Lampard, but stayed on after his sacking.

While working with Tuchel, Barry made a good impression on the German with his level and quality of coaching, so much so he was desperate to reunite with him after taking the job at Bayern last week.

However, according to reports from England, Chelsea have been left angry with the public acknowledgment that Barry is a target for the German side. Zsolt Low and Arno Michels are also expected to join Tuchel’s team at Bayern, after they left Chelsea at the same time that Tuchel left.

Former Inter Milan midfielder, Caesarea Casadei has highlighted the difference between playing in England and Italy after making the switch from Inter Milan to Chelsea in the last summer transfer window.
