Balogun wants to leave the north London club this summer and is rumored to be interested in joining Chelsea. The 22-year-old American striker, who had a productive loan season with Reims last year, is keen to play for the first squad this year.

Balogun scored 21 goals in 37 games while playing for France, which caught the attention of several clubs this summer.

Chelsea is the most recent team to try to sign him, but reports claim that the two teams have "big differences" in how much they value him.

Balogun's value is not viewed by Chelsea as being as high as the £50 million the Gunners want to pay to part ways with him. Numerous clubs have expressed interest in Balogun, most notably Inter Milan, but the Italians are hesitant to invest £50 million for the player.

Balogun and Monaco had a "initial agreement" to join the club, but Arsenal rejected their offer to bring Balogun back to Ligue 1.

After agreeing to a £55.5 million agreement with Rennes for the winger, Manchester City will replace Riyad Mahrez with Jeremy Doku. Before agreeing to a five-year contract with City, the Belgian will have a medical in the north-west over the course of the next 48 hours.

The 21-year-old had drawn interest from around the Premier League after a standout Ligue 1 season the previous year. Doku scored on the first day of this season after scoring six goals in the previous one.

Doku is desired by Pep Guardiola due to his direct style of play and his propensity for going one-on-one with defenders.
