The German club confirmed that a bid did arrive for their player but was rejected without consideration.

More Details

Inter Milan were linked with Bayern Munich defender Benjamin Pavard who has an expiring contract.

The French international has been at the German club since 2019 following his move from fellow Bundesliga side VFB Stuttgart.

The 26 year old was a subject of a tempting bid from an unnamed club in the January transfer window as revealed by the Bavarian club.

“Benjamin is a very important player for us and extremely versatile in defence. We have big targets for this season and we can’t do without him. Economically, the offer was attractive, but for us, the sporting project always prevails.” Sporting Director Hasan Salihamidzic told BILD.

The bid, which was said to have come from Inter as per German transfer expert Christian Falk who wrote on his Twitter account that the bid reportedly came from Inter.

The Nerazzurri have been on the lookout for a Milan Skriniar replacement after the Slovakian decided not to renew with the Italian side.

Inter are said to be prepared to try again in the summer for the World Cup winner who will become a free agent at the end of the season

Pavard once stated in an interview erewhile that he’d like to play in the Italian Serie A at some point in his career due to many of his idols appearing in the famous league in times past.

Inter have reportedly informed Lazio about their intention to make Francesco Acerbi’s move permanent.

The 34 year old was bright in as a makeshift option in the summer but has surpassed expectations by displacing Stefan De Vrij and becoming an important part of the Nerazzurri set up.

Gazzetta report that Inter are willing to sign him permanently but only after discussing to cut down the initial agreement of €4m with Lazio.

Acerbi has made twenty two appearances and has scored once for Inter since his arrival with eye catching displays at the heart of the defence.

The two clubs will sit to talk about the possibility and an agreement is expected to be reached as the player has already fallen out with the Lazio ultras following last season’s loss to Milan where Acerbi was caught with a grin on camera after Milan scored their second goal.
