We are perhaps running out of superlatives for what FC Barcelona Femeni has accomplished this year.
The reigning Champions of Europe closed out a perfect Primera Division season last weekend, defeating Atlético Madrid 2-1 to finish 30-0.
The team’s only loss in all competitions this season came at the hands of Wolfsburg in the second leg of the UWCL semifinals, after which Barcelona still advanced on aggregate.
Barcelona’s dominance goes past their win-loss record, as the squad recorded 159 goals and conceded just 11 in domestic competition.

Irene Paredes and Aitana Bonmati notched Barcelona’s goals over the weekend to secure the undefeated season.
Asisat Oshoala won the Golden Boot honors, while teammate Alexia Putellas notched the most assists.
Five of the league’s top 10 scorers come from the league-winning club, including Oshoala, Putellas, Jenni Hermoso, and Claudia Pina.
Six Barcelona players are in the top 10 for assists, including Putellas, Pina, Lieke Martens, Caroline Graham Hansen, Fridolina Rolfo, and Patri Guijarro.
While the Catalan giants will enjoy the job well done in league play, they still have two trophies to chase at the end of the European calendar.
They meet Olympique Lyon in the Champions League final on May 21 at Allianz Stadium in Turin, Italy.
They also have the Copa de la Reina semifinal against Real Madrid on May 25, as they look to go undefeated against their rivals in 2022.
