Written by Onyeka Daniel

With the end of the transfer window less than 24 hours away, Barcelona might be offered the chance to sign Uruguayan striker, Edison Cavani.

Barcelona have been restricted in their transfer dealings this summer as their financial difficulties takes it toll on the club, but that has not stopped them from signing some players especially the free agents and they could be offered the chance to sign Cavani for a relatively cheap price.

Manchester United recently announced the return of Cristiano Ronaldo and he is expected to fill the striking position, a position that Edison Cavani has been filling for the Red Devils and with his chances of first team football further reduced, both the player and the club would be happy to find a solution.

Barcelona could be in the picture following the injury that is expected to keep Aguero out until October while Martin Braithwaite fills the striker position for the Catalan side.

With Barca being unable to spend much on player’s transfer this summer, they would be hoping to get the striker at a discount price or for free if possible, but with the transfer window closing very soon, there might not be enough time for a deal to be worked out.

Barcelona are set to send their second choice goalkeeper, Neto out on loan to fellow Spanish club, Villarreal.

Neto has struggled for playing time at the Camp Nou, playing second fiddle to Marc-Andre Ter Stegen. After Rulli’s unconvincing display for the yellow submarines in the first three games of the season which was further highlighted by his mistake that allowed Atletico Madrid to grab a point in their match up at the weekend, Villarreal Coach, Unai Emery would be considering making a move for the goalkeeper as he aims to do well in the domestic league as well as the Champions League this season.

Barcelona on their part would consider a bid of about €8 million sufficient as they look to raise funds in order to alleviate the dire financial situation at the club.
